POSITION:                                                                         Senior Director of Field Sales Team
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:                                          CEO
 
LOCATION:                                                                        Houston, Texas
 
 
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Seeking a strategic Field Sales leader who will lead the company into their next phase of growth.  They are currently a $50MM publicly-traded service company, with almost a billion dollars in market potential across multiple industries.  Through numerous acquisitions as well as organic growth in the past several years, the company has significantly developed their service offering, customer base, capabilities, and geographic region, and they are in a prime position for the next stage of growth.  They are looking for a strategic sales leader to get them there. 
 
We are looking for a strategic sales leader who will continuously seek new and innovative ways to grow the company with large national accounts.  This person should have experience selling a service into companies with multiple locations, and an understanding of the complexities that involves.  This executive will be a key member of the senior management team and will need to be able to work well with other key management members.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct the strategic Field Sales team to reach revenue and profitability goals
  • Establish budgets, updated forecasts, long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success
  • Assess market to understand where the most profitable targets will be, and create an execution plan for penetrating
  • Articulate account and market insights on an ongoing basis.
 
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven experience in successfully closing complex, multi-million dollar national accounts in multiple markets
  • Demonstrated ability to deeply understand a company’s business model and use that knowledge to deliver sales results
  • Experience and proficiency in market analysis and developing strategy based on the information
  • Experience with reporting, budgeting and forecasting
 
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
•   Self-starter who sets aggressive goals and is driven to succeed both personally and professionally
•   Experience working in a fast paced environment preferably with a publicly traded company or PE backed company
•   Recent leadership experience with growing a company within a reasonable time frame showing significant progress along the way
•   Proven leader-by-influence who can play a key role on the senior management team
•   Purposeful personnel management and development, consistent in rewarding top performers and managing out the poor performers
•   Bachelors degree required
